Maleficent by aemiliuslives Maleficent by aemiliuslives
The first in my collection of Disney Villains just had to be Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil from 1959's classic animated feature "Sleeping Beauty".

I've been working on this model for some time, on and off. I don't think it's quite finished yet, but I really wanted to have some render up here. So I embellished this as much as I could, and here it is :P I wasn't going for an exact replication of the original design (which is amazing but somewhat inconsistent throughout the movie. I mean, she's never drawn the exact same way twice :P), I wasn't going for a fullblown redesign either. I just... found her along the way. Model done in Sculptris (staff modeled in trueSpace), textured in Photoshop, final render in trueSpace, postwork in Photoshop.

True. Thank you for :+fav:ing this.

and speaking of backstory I have started writing a book about Captain Hook Backstory and how he grew up to be Captain Hook the Notorious Pirate and how he becomes Peter Arch Enemy like we know the story of Peter Pan and we know who Captain Hook is he is a Pirate he does not like Peter Pan because Peter maid him lose his hand to a crocodile but like Maleficent story we never known what happen before so I am writing a book about that like what drove Hook to the darkside in my story he starts out as one of the Lost Boys and goes down a dark path.

Cool. They say J. M. Barrie's original version was darker and a lot like that. Outsiders would grow old in Neverland, and Peter himself used to kill the lost children before they'd become adults, and the few that got away went on to become pirates. Then Barrie changed his mind and wrote it the way we know it.

really you don't say tell me more tell me more. dang that really does sound grim I hope my idea wont be that grim like the part I am planning to have on how James Hook losses his hand to a Crocadile.

I really don't know much more than that. It's been rumored for ages that JMB's early draft was like that, but I think nothing concrete has ever been found, let alone published. It was also said that Peter would hunt pirates for fun and that sometimes he'd switch sides and join them against the lost children, and he'd do something similar with the indians as well. I don't know if any of that is true

And it looks like we will never know for sure.

But I hope my story won't be that dark like in my story James Hook has  sister who falls in love with Peter and James is the over protective brother and later on in the story something terrible happens to his Sister and James blame Peter which leads to him to grow up and become Captain Hook and also leads to how he lost his hand. I hope that doesn't sound to grim my parents said it did but what do you think?

Makes sense as an origin story  I'm not sure how are you dealing with the ages there, though. I'm assuming Hook is already a young man, and his sister and Peter are in their mid-teens or something? But if Hook is a former lost-child, how did he outgrow Peter? Or are they all around the same age?
